About Little Bit

Update to original February post: 'Little Bit' was abandoned at a park next to our house and came to our front door in February. She was cold, hungry, and in need of medical care. During these past weeks, we have taken care of her medical needs (an ear infection and surgery to remove a benign mass), fed her (she has gone from being emaciated to a healthy weight) and loved her (she's a cute little snuggle bug who loves to be by your side every minute). She is now a healthy, happy girl but we must find a new home for her since we already have 2 dogs of our own. Through RescueMe and other contacts, we found a lovely 74 year-old lady in Maine who recently lost her companion dog and very much wants to adopt Little Bit but is unable to drive to Georgia to pick her up. Laura will be a great fit for Little Bit since she has lots of experience with dogs, can manage Little Bit's sensitive ears to prevent future infections, and would love to have Little Bit by her side every minute :)! We have an opportunity for Little Bit to be driven to Maine on May 9th but need to raise funds by then to pay for her trip. If you are able to help, even a little, it will give Little Bit the happy ending she deserves with her perfect companion. She is really an awesome little dog!
