About Ash

LOCATION: Crystal Beach, Texas DOB: 01/17/2018 (Estimate) My name is Ash. I am a typical Dane - I love to lay around and be a couch potato with my people - and I do love my people. I tend to be on the timid side, but I am generally a happy fella. I found some folks that like me, and I really like them. I am protective (not mean) of them as I am so happy to have someone that loves me. Once I settle in and feel comfortable, I will bark at strange noises (I live in a loft apartment and there are a lot of noises). I can be left alone with no accidents for about 4-6 hours but I will sing a sad sad song (howl) when you leave. I will give up after about 20-30 minutes. But once I know you will come back, I get much better. I LOVE MY FOOD - it makes me so happy (I'm more of a grazer and like to snack throughout the day, but will sometimes eat it all at once). I was starving when they got me, but now you can barely see my ribs. Greenies are MY favorite snack, besides bacon. I have great manners. I can sit, wait for my food, and then keep waiting until someone tells me its time. Oh, and I mind WELL. I know- Sit, Stay, Laydown, Up/Down (sofa) and where my bed is. I can walk on a leash, but I love the outside and dog parks - so I can pull a little. But I walk well and can be corrected easily. I don't know my name - yet. My favorite toy is any toy my furry foster brother has. And I love to play fetch for a few throws, but I get over it quickly and lay down. I do like having another dog around, and we sleep on the same bed together often. When I see cats I want to chase them so badly. I just can't say how I would do living with one. I am left out when no one is home and I do well. I don't chew, or counter surf - even when food is out!! I have lived in a crate, but my current foster people don't crate dogs, and I like that, too! I like my mom more than my dad, but he is ok. I will low growl at all people, but I am just talking and letting everyone know I am here. I do prefer a low-traffic, no kid household.
