About NACHO

All your questions are answered in this narrative.. if you read everything, & you think that you might fit the bill after reading what's written here, please feel free to call me. Meet little Nacho...a little 18 lb ball of delight. Although his paperwork has him listed as a RAT terrier... looking at him we are thinking he is more of a FOX terrier but as I always say, whatever he is.... 'rescue' is really my favorite breed.... rescued from a shelter by a single mother, working full time and raising 2 teenagers who wanted a dog to care for. Her hopes were that rescuing this little guy would give and teach her children some responsibility, but that's not working out the way she planned it. The children are definitely loving little Nacho, but they are not helping out with any of the tasks to take care of him, and the mother works long hours, and Nacho is the one who is not getting what he needs. I have been doing rescue over 30 years in Miami, and I always tell people when they call me, and they tell me they want to adopt a dog for their kids, I always tell them to beware, because the children are never going to be the ones to take care of the dog, and the parents better be prepared. The mother and kids love him very much, but loving something is a responsibility, one which they are not in a position to have right now. My goal is to make sure I get him the home where people understand that they cannot only love this little dog, but that there is a responsibility to him as well, emotionally, physically and financially. Nacho is still young.... only about 2 years, so my job and my goal is to see to it that I get Nacho into a wonderful home where he will be cared for in a manner that he deserves for the rest of his life. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago and have slowed down with rescue tremendously, but hearing about little Nacho, I was compelled to see to it that he is properly rehomed and he gets the loving home that he deserves for the remainder of his life. Nacho is the perfect dog. He's very loving, and all he wants to do is snuggle. He loves to be loved. He loves to give affection and receive affection. He's potty trained, as long as you take him out. He walks well on a leash. He gets along with other dogs and even cats, and he is great with children. We would definitely consider Nacho to be submissive, rather than aggressive. If anything he can be skittish at times and be afraid of certain things. He would be a great companion to a family...he needs to be loved and needs attention. He is still energetic and playful and loves to jump. Nacho is a very loving, happy, sweet dog. The mother and children love him very much and will be sad to give him up, but at the same time, they know now that this is a responsibility, and they are really not in a position to take on the responsibility. I have made the commitment to Nacho and to the current family to make sure I find him the opportunity to find the right home he needs. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for the many years he has ahead ....a family who will continue to let us know how wonderful he is doing. Nacho will be your best friend. Will you be his?? We are looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give him as much as he deserves. He comes to you neutered, microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention& if u adopt him you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
