About Bert

Adoption Fee: $375
Lab / American Staffordshire Terrier

Hi, I'm Bert! I'm a happy dog and love to play. I arrived from Tennessee last summer with my brother and best friend, Ernie. I live with a really cool foster family that has 3 dogs and one fish! They also have 2 small humans that are 8 and 11 years old. I love everyone! I am currently ~9 months old, ~50 pounds, and still growing! They keep trying to guess what I am and always have lots of ideas, but I am just a 100% dog. The resident dogs are super fun to play with. I especially love to chase and wrestle with my foster family's young, medium sized pup. I sometimes get the zoomies so I very much enjoy going to my foster family's backyard to run around. When I'm not playing, I like to relax on the couch and watch the activity happening outside through the window. If any animals walk by or a delivery person is getting close, I will let you know! I'm also BIG on snuggling. I really am a gentle giant and could be the best lap dog if my future family lets me! I've been working on quite a few obedience commands, but since I am still young, I could definitely use a lot of practice. Fortunately, I LOVE little training treats, so I'm ready to work with anyone who wants to work with me. If you toss it, I will catch it. I'm extremely proud to say my catch rate is at 90%. My foster family has jingle bells on the door that I like to ring when I need to go potty. I definitely ring the bell just to play, too. I have done a lot of crate training, but I much prefer being out with my human and doggie friends. I'm ready to find my permanent home where I can play and cuddle forever! If you're ready for a new best bud, submit your application today! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
