We adopted this big boy when he was about 1 and a half. He is a LOVE. Unfortunately, we unexpectedly lost our rental house with a big fenced yard and Houdini has been living in what amounts to a tiny home with no fenced yard. Worse, he is simply too strong for me (almost 60 y.o. woman) and my stronger son is leaving the nest. I have been pulled down hard and fast twice in the past 2 months when he's seen something like a dog or bunny, despite the pinch collar. Basically, he is not living his best life, though we love him so. He is inside, sedentary, and cramped. Temperment wise, I would worry about him around a child that didn't understand not to pick up food they drop if Houdini has seen it fall. He will want it and bare his teeth/growl aggressively. Also, he is smart and independent minded. Won't come unless HE wants to. And, if he gets loose, he will be long gone - typical Pyrenees. We would love to find someone to 'share' him with us occasionally, but that may be asking too much. He needs love, affection, and a place to go outside and patrol! We are looking sooner than necessary, committed to finding him the RIGHT family/home.
