About Petey

Petey was found lying alongside a neighborhood road, full of maggot filled puncture wounds and unable to walk. When his rescuers showed up, Petey couldn't even get up to greet them, but his little wagging tail just couldn't contain the joy and gratefulness he felt for his saviors. This cute pup, with a happy disposition despite all his trials, has since recovered from his harrowing journey. And after many vet visits, loving care and regular meals, he is super ready to go to his forever home! Petey loves all people especially kids, plays great with other dogs, and currently shares his foster home with a few cats. The pup has no mean bone in his body! And just when you thought it couldn't get better, there more! Aside from being friendly and lovable, Pete is the perfect combination of play adventure fun time and low energy love bug. Whether it's a hike in the woods or a snuggle on the couch, you can count Pete in! Petey is about 1 year old and just under 40lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated and up to date on monthly preventatives. Pete is house trained, walks well on a leash and obeys simple commands. Please contact with any questions or to schedule a meet and greet. Home checks are required. Please do not contact if you are not willing to allow a home visit. Rehoming fee applied. Fosters are financed by rescue.
