About Naira

Naira is an unpapered/unregistered pure catahoula. She will be 2 in May. We have had her since she was 12 weeks old and she is an absolutely amazing dog, 99% of the time. Over the last year and a half, she has shown increasing aggression towards our older female dog. She has never shown any aggression towards our male dog, our cats, our young kids, or us. The older female dog seems to be the only trigger for her. She wants so badly to be a good dog, and is as loyal as can be. She listens well and knows basic commands. She is a very quick learner. It breaks our hearts to be rehoming her, but the increasing tension between her and our older female dog has taken a big toll on not only the dogs but the people in the home as well. She deserves a chance to live her best life, our environment just isn't the best for her any more. We have reached out to various rescues and shelters to try and help her find a new home, with no success. Everywhere is too overcrowded to take her in. We've been hit with an ultimatum from other household members that she needs to be rehomed ASAP, or animal control/shelter surrender will be her only option. Please help us find a loving home for this sweet young girl!
