Left behind at a Motel in Bristol VA. Meet Maxie. Vet puts her at 4yrs old. She is super skinny but healthy. She was neglected by previous owners who lived at the Motel. Motel would get complaints from others that she was being neglected and hit. Previous owners moved out in the middle of the night and left behind Maxie. We're not exactly sure of her breed. Some ppl say Treeing Tennessee Brindle and others say Whippet. She's in TN now and will be heading to NJ. She is fully vetted. She does NOT do well with other pets. She also needs time to unwind. She is not that dog you can grab and hug. LOOKING FOR A SINGLE PERSON. NO KIDS. Once she feels safe.. she becomes your shadow and will follow you around. She loves to be under the covers and nap on the couch. She's very mellow and quite. Loves car rides. Motel stated she used wee wee pads and did go outside. She never barks. Other then gaining weight, vet doesn't believe she will grow anymore. She's been thru a lot. We are looking for a loving home that will give her everything her last owners neglected to give her. How we work.... We do foster to adopt on all our dogs. This allows time for the adopter to make sure our rescue fits perfectly in their family and it also allows us time to see if the adopter fits well into our adoption family. Must live in NJ. Must have a full fenced in yard. Chip stays chipped to rescue but adopter will be added.
