Memphis is excellent with people (can be scared of new strangers at first), good with kids and has a companion dog that he loves. We all love Memphis. The issue is he is a small animal killer, although he has lived with them since he was a puppy. When he killed the first outdoor cat, we started walking him to the fence on a leash, but now he attacked and killed our cat in the house that he has lived with since puppyhood. We got him at 10 weeks and he just turned two. He is a spoiled and loved dog, but I can't risk our other cats. He can't be with any small Animals, like cats, rabbits or chickens.
