LOCATION: Rockford, Illinois DOB: 06/29/2023 Abby is elegance in the form of a stunning black Great Dane with white markings. This beauty has such a playful spirit. At heart, she is still very much a puppy, navigating the excitement of learning the ropes. Her puppy energy is infectious, making every day feel like a new adventure. She just loves the company of other dogs. She has met a few children and has done very well. However, owing to her exuberance and size, she might be better suited for older children who can handle her energy without being overwhelmed. Playing with toys is one of her favorite past times. Whether it's a game of fetch or a romp with fellow canines, Abby is in her element. Crate training is part of her routine, with a bit of initial whining that quickly transforms into contentment after a couple of minutes. Just be sure to keep the remotes out of reach when she's left unattended in the home! Car rides are a breeze with her, although she may still need a little assistance getting in. Once settled, she's the perfect travel companion, laying down for the journey. And speaking of settling down, Abby loves nothing more than to get pets and snuggle up in bed with you - a true velcro dog. Grooming may not be her favorite pastime, as she can't leave that place fast enough, but she's done okay with the process. Leash skills are a work in progress, but with her curious and adventurous spirit, she's ready to tackle the challenge head-on. Abby is finding her voice ; she will let you know if there are people outside. Her ideal home would undoubtedly be one with other dogs, as she thrives on companionship and dislikes being alone. Her house training is on point, and while she may be timid initially when meeting new faces, it's only a matter of time before her friendly nature shines through. Abby is a bundle of joy, curiosity, and playfulness wrapped up in a sleek black coat.
