About Sweet Petra

Petra is currently in Colorado in a foster home. She is in need of a home very soon. PETRA is a very loving, happy and pretty 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Cattledog mix looking for an active family to share life. Young, playful, energetic girl who would be a great running/hiking/adventure companion. A sweetheart who is loyal and devoted to her people - just a wonderful girl. She has the cutest personality with loads of love to give. Loves all people, likes to cuddle and knows how to relax after she has some exercise. Kid friendly and plays well with them. We are recommending 5 years and older. Dog and cat friendly. Can be an only dog if she gets daily exercise and attention from her humans. She likes to play a lot, so a dog her size or larger would be best if you have another dog. Housetrained with great house manners. Crate trained. Has good house manners with no destructive behaviors shown inside or outside. Intelligent, quick learning girl who knows basic commands 'sit, down, lay, come, down' and has even learned to open doors. She comes when you call her name, if she's not already following you around. Treat motivated and takes treats gently. Walks well on leash and off leash. Stays close to her people.. Loves playing, fetch, all toys, especially squeaky toys. Not a big barker, but will alert you to someone at the door. Only homes with a fenced yard will be considered. Petra is 60 lbs, spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.
