About Tonka

Tonka is a smart dog! We have had him since 8weeks of age. He does well with children of all ages. He is ALWAYS up for frisbee and ball. He is totally potty trained and knows his commands. He is crate trained. Tonka does not realize he isn't a lapdog! We have other pets in our home he does very well with them. The reason we are rehoming him is because he gotten a little aggressive with some of our other pets. It is not a constant thing and he has never attacked them. We think he is best suited for an ONLY furbaby home. All of our pets are rescued in some way or another. I would never in a million years do this if it wasn't in HIS best interest. We keep our babies for life. Unfortunately if we do not re-home him it would mean the other 4 would need a new home. So it's better this way. Things he must have: A large fenced yard & active lifestyle. He is not suited for an apartment! He is huge and still growing. Things his new family should know: I will check your Veterinarian & personal references. I will check your home for a fence. I will not allow him to go to anyone that rents a home. Reason behind this.. his breed & size. I want him to have a home for life! Please realize how much a dog of this size eats. His only health quirk is he has a sensitive tummy. As long as he is kept in the same diet & no human food he has no issues. The rehoming fee to me will be donated to the local shelter. I will not budge on this only because we have volunteered in dog rescue and know the horrors that happen when there is a low or no fee adoption.
