I need to surrender a 11 month old female Belgian Malinois. I rescued her from a terrible home and have restored her to good health. I am unable to care for her at home. I purchased a brand new $200 crate for her and am happy to give it away as a donation. She is quick to approach humans for pets and knows basic commands (sit, hold, come, lay down) and is crate trained. She can be a bit food-aggressive (growling) but with slow dedicated work she seems to be trusting people and other dogs when they are around her while she eats. She can be aggressive toward unfamiliar dogs (growls and approaches) because she is protective of her pack, so keeping an eye out with her on walks is very important - so far, I've been able to train her to calm down a bit through redirection. The most important thing is that she responds well to consistent, dedicated training. Positive reinforcement almost always does the trick with her as she will do just about anything for a treat.
