Bandit is half border collie, half black lab. He will be a year old in March. He is sweet as can be, loves people, gets along well with other dogs, but is not good with cats or horses. He tries to herd the horses and nips at their feet. Where he lives is a horse rescue and this isn't good for the horses, especially if the horse is injured, someone is working with the horse, or riding it. It's too dangerous. He is very smart and learns quickly, he just needs training. He was brought here by someone who was living here temporarily. When she left, she didn't take him with her. They already have two dogs, two cats, and 13 horses and never intended to take on another dog. It isn't fair to him, since no one has time to exercise him properly, so he spends most of his time inside in a crate. The border collie in him needs a job. We believe he's perfectly capable of being the perfect dog, with training. He will not get that opportunity where he is right now. Large dog, weighs about 70 lbs right now and is scheduled to be neutered in March or will pay an adopter to have it done.
