About Butternut

Rabbit
Age: Baby
Sex: Male

INDOOR ONLY HOMES, PLEASE! Butternut was a stray singleton baby bunny rescued locally here in Lake Elsinore. He's a sweet little boy bunny and a great age to bond with you while he grows up. His estimated date of birth is late December 2023 or early January 2024. Young rabbits need alfalfa hay and young rabbit pellets until adulthood. His was neutered March 27, 2024. He currently weighs about three pounds. He is fully vaccinated against RHDV2. Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Butternut can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you've never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies! If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
