About Sandy

Sandy is an approximately 5 year old Shih Tzu. She is very, very sweet and tolerant of humans. Sandy came to us from a breeder and has had a lack of care for a long time. She has chronic dry eye, which has caused the loss of sight in one of her eyes. She will need daily eye drops for the rest of her life to help her maintain the sight in her other eye and to keep her comfortable. She is very tolerant of having eye drops applied. Sandy has had all of her veterinary needs taken care of and she is ready to have a family of her own. We prefer adult homes where someone is home most of the time. We also prefer homes with a securely fenced yard of large lanai for the dog to explore safely. Sandy is very quiet and calm. She is staying with other dogs but also seems to like spending time in her bed relaxing. This little girl deserves the most loving home we can find for her. She has already been through a rough time, so we want to make sure her future is only full of happy times. We are in SW Florida and prefer to adopt within the state.
