About Argos

I hate to have to do this but we are having to rehome our boy Argos. He is an Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix. He is an extremely smart dog but unfortunately is more than we are able to handle. He had a rough start in the beginning of his life. So we adopted him, to give Argos a better quality of life. He was a reactive dog, so we sent him to a trainer and had great success but unfortunately he has regressed and something has changed and he has since started to resource guard toys/food. We have 3 young children and he has already snapped at one of them. With my husband having to be gone a lot for work and me being the primary care giver to our 3 children, I unfortunately cannot give Argos the attention and continue training he needs. Unfortunately our previous trainer has moved but did recommend other trainers in the area, however we feel it's best for our family and Argos that he finds a new home that can better fit his needs. Argos would be best suited with an active person/couple, someone with a farm or family with lots of land and that they can continue his training and give him the mental and physical stimulation he needs. Again, Argos is a good dog, just unfortunately we are not the right fit for his breed.
