About Chena

Little body, big ears, bigger personality- meet Chena the senior chihuaha! Chena #A5603903 was transferred to @agouraanimalslaco from @palmdaleanimalslaco at the end of January. Soonafter, he was observed to be coughing and lethargic- he didn't even want to eat his food! HHA brought Chena over to @oaksvetcare, where Dr. Rachel diagnosed him with an upper respiratory infection, showed him to his suite, and started him on meds (liquid meds, because this little cutie was too clever for regular pills and spit them out!) Last week, Chena was well enough to leave the vet and lucky enough to check into foster at ACO Sierra's house, where he continues to recover and show off his big personality. Sierra says that he's super snuggly, super funny and a total velcro boy who would really benefit from having another dog sibling to live with. He's already figured out how to use the doggy stairs (working on the big boy stairs now!) and while housebreaking is a work in progress, he wears his belly band like a champ. If all that isn't cute enough, he carries his little kibbles over to his bed like a little ant- who wouldn't want to be comfy while they're snacking? Although Chena is still working his way back to full health, he is ready to go home.
