Indi-Anna came to us from Yuma after having been in a foster home where they worked with her on socializing. She seems like a dog who has not known much kindness in her young life and she is skittish and uncertain in new situations. She does prefer females but can adjust to men if they go slow with her. She also loves kids as long as they are respectful. Indi gets very attached to her caregiver once she trusts and loves to be close. By her 2nd day in foster she was on her lap licking her face and now begs for cuddles. She slept in bed with the fosters two dogs by the second night. She is very slowly being transformed into a fearless adventuress. Indi needs someone who understands that she needs time to get comfortable and to not push her when fearful. Generally she is easy to handle when treated with kindness. She also does well with cats and kittens. Lately Indi-Anna has taken to play fighting the larger dog in the home who is at least twice, if not three times her size.a and they are now inseparable...she continues to build her self confidence. Indi is around 2 years and 19-20 lbs. We are gradually trying to figure out how much exercise she requires for mental health. She gets a fair amount of walking and racing up and down the stairs with my dog which she loves. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained and mostly housebroken with a dog door once she has learned the routine (expect accidents in the beginning and some fear poops). Indy would be happiest in a home with at least one compatible dog who will show her the ropes. TO APPLY APPLICATION HERE )))) http://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application
