About Meeko

Wylie/Meeko: The Canine Goofball He's an approximately one year old, blue-eyed, neutered male, Husky mix. This is an attractive, somewhat silly dog with some pretty endearing characteristics. He is social and deliberately seeks interaction with his people - this is just one of the reasons that I've had thoughts of him being deployed as a working partner for someone who'd enjoy a dog that freely offers signaling behavior (he will lightly poke a person with his icy nose, very lightly mouth a hand or forearm or nibble on clothing. He can easily be encouraged to whine or bark on-command. Housetraining: Unlike some dogs, he's not very particular about the surface on which he urinates and defecates - I have witnessed and reinforced this dog eliminating on blacktop, concrete, cobblestones, dirt and grass. He is very food motivated and becoming increasingly clicker-savvy. This is a dog that is very happy to feed off of a handler's energy, play-bowing and freely offering very energetic, animated behavior.
