About Red Star

Meet Red Star! This beautiful girl is roughly 11 months old and likely a mix of Black Mouth Cur, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Shepherd. Red is such a sweet, loving girl! Smart and playful, this girl loves the company of other dogs. When briefly exposed to a cat, she showed no aggression. However, slow introductions would be a must. She is a little shy when meeting new women but warms up quickly to them. Men do take longer to warm up to and any man in her life will need to have more patience with her while she becomes acquainted with them. Red Star seems to warm up to children much more quickly and has been gentle towards them! However, these interactions have all been supervised as she does not live with children currently. Red has done well learning not to mess in her kennel space, so she would likely be easy to house break. She is working on some leash training. As with all large, working breed dogs ... Red Star will do best with some sort of mental stimulation, a large and secure area to exercise in, and some buddies to play with. She's also a digger! But the good news is, she's also been exposed to baths and blow outs! :) Red truly is a sweet-heart and a gentle soul. She has no desire to be 'boss' and just wants to get along with everyone she is with. Please, only apply if you can give Red Star a fur-ever home.
