About Murphy

Murphy is approx 8 months old. He was rescued from a hoarding situation and will do best in a home with another friendly, stable dog. He's not aggressive at all but very fearful of people and needs another dog in the home to help him with his confidence and to trust his humans. We are hoping to find someone for him that can see past his breed because adopting Bruno is not adopting a 'goldendoodle' but adopting a dog that needs help learning to trust his people. Bruno is still learning to get used to a leash, so a yard where it's safe for him to go out and potty is needed. He is crate trained and initially we do recommend using a crate as Bruno considers the crate a safe place. However, if there's another confident friendly dog in the home he will come around much quicker and start exploring and soliciting attention from his people. Please only reach out if you are committed to seeing him through. Bouncing him around will only set him back and won't do him any justice. Based on the other dogs we've already placed from this hoarding situation we expect him to take 24 hours before coming out of his crate and starting to explore. 48 hours before he starts following you around. 72 hours before he starts soliciting pets. Be familiar with the 3 day, 3 week, 3 month rule because it will probably take about 3 months before you really start seeing him for the sweet, affectionate boy he is.
