*ADOPTION PENDING* Chrissy, Pupcakes Chrissy, approximately 10 month, compact 40 pound double merle (DM), Aussie mix. That lil face radiates 'Be Mine'! The sweetestheart has ALL the cutest cutes and the receipts to prove it! Chrissy and her two siblings came to the rescue, likely abandoned because they were deaf. Never mind all the pupsonality and resilience and love these pups have. Both of Chrissy's sibs have been adopted, it's her turn. Foster Mama just loves this super smart, loving Aussie mix: 'She's a precious, snuggly, sweet tempered treat!' Chrissy just loves being...Chrissy. She's an alert, bright-eyed stick by your side pupcup of fun and sun! The athletic Aussie romps and runs and relishes keep away games. Heck, Chrissy even diys her own agility course! Foster Mom calls her the pack 'Personal Trainer' lol The pupcake is just a content canine and a good girl. Typical Aussie intelligence and Aussie energy. The candyheart knows some hand signals. Cutiecake's smile when you signal 'come' will make your day. She has house manners and uses the doggie door. Chrissy has been nourished and loved on in an exceptionally experienced Foster home. She's a confident cutie who has been with other dogs, big and small in the residence. Chrissy's Forever After? Lets start with Folks who just see dogs as an intrical part of life-of family. They don't adopt dogs without forethought, and research the needs of breeds and deaf dogs. Loving, patient but hands on in guiding their pup. They don't think 'poor dog' when they see a deafie. They note the way way they communicate with their eyes and heart. Naturally, deaf Aussies are just as smart and enjoy mental engagement, activity and especially, being with their People. Chrissy is shy at first in new a environment-a little time, and tlc, elicits her innate sunny self. Her potential Forever has some experience or has educated themselves on the joys, quirks, and particular needs of a special Aussie before filling out an adoption application. A fenced yard is important, however, it may not be necessary for a specific kind of adopter-experienced with herding dogs, home a lot, committed to leash training, never, ever lets a dog out off leash, etc. Kiddos 8ish and up, raised to respect dog language, needs and boundaries will be besties with Oak. A confident, medium energy dog friend or two would be perfect. Chrissy should be fine with dog savvy kitties. Multiresidential buildings (such as apartments)and dog parks are not a good fit for this pup. The best adopters give their new family member time to decompress and grow familiar with a new environment and routine. They see the importance of investing time to understand their dog and build a bond of trust and provide steady, reasonable guidance and training.
