About Daisy

Daisy is heartworm positive and our rescue will pay for all of her medical care; however, her adoption will be locally (within 1 hour of Wake Forest, NC) until treatment is complete and reevaluation is done. Don't let her heartworm status stop you from adoption; this girl is SUPER sweet! Daisy, would love to tell you a little bit about herself!! 'I am a sweet hound girl and am looking for my forever home. I am new to the comforts of living indoors, so I will need someone to be patient with me as I learn to love all of the creature comforts of this new and interesting world; it seems pretty amazing so far! I love to play with other dogs, so if you have a brother or sister for me, that is perfect! I would make an awesome furry-sibling!! I am also okay just playing by myself sometimes too! So, I am kind of perfect in that way if I do say so myself.' 'In addition, I love to get head scratches and belly rubs. This whole life of getting lots of love and attention is fantastic. I will snuggle with you for a little bit, but then go off to play for a bit. I am very gentle and sweet when taking a treat and easily take it without any accidental nibbles. I also do not need a fence yard. I love being inside snuggle beside my humans. It makes me very happy!' 'You know what else, I am already learning the 'sit' command. My foster mom says I am a pretty quick learner and so smart. Since I love food and know I will get a treat from my foster mama, I am eager to please!! I like to see what my foster mama is cooking and doing, so I will need someone to help me to continue to learn that tables and counters are off limits to me. (She is a great cook, and everything smells so yummy!!) I am eager to please, so I am working on these manners. 'I never had a safe little crate space all for myself before, and I am learning that my crate is a nice little sleepy-time spot. I am also doing great with letting my foster mama know when it is potty time. I would love to have someone home a good chunk of the day so I can continue a good routine. 'I am a very good girl and am a fast learner. My foster mama tells me all the time, especially when I sit, go in my crate, or go potty outside. I like being praised! Will you praise me too when you adopt me? I will be your best friend forever. I also have a beautiful hound bark, if you are lucky enough to hear it. Other than that, I am a quiet girl most of the time. I can't wait to meet you and love you forever! As part of Daisy's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
