Mahla knows heel, sit & stay (when she feels like staying). She plays well on her own WITH supervision. She is crate trained & will go to crate w/ 'kennel' command, very treat motivated & she is potty trained. She is needy w/ anxiety. Left unsupervised she WILL jump fence or cause property damage. When with her person she wants to constantly lick them, paw at them & follows them closer than a shadow everywhere. If left in a different room she will impatiently wait at the 'do not cross' point (yes, she is room trained), but will become destructive-potty break for human is almost too long and a shower is absolutely too long for her to be left on her own. She loves to sleep with her human pack leader & will nudge you if she has to go out. She is as demanding as a young toddler and needs to be supervised as such. She is so sweet, beautiful, loving & has a GREAT smile. If we cannot rehome her she will be taken to Animal Control. I've owned dogs my entire life, everything from Chihuahuas to Australian Sheppards, Australian Cattle Dogs & Border Collies. I KNOW how to exercise a high energy, highly intelligent dog. I've had Mahla for 6+ months and she is proving to be too much for me. Truth be told, it's mainly the almost daily destruction I can no longer cope with. She can be a little uneasy around men AT FIRST MEETING, however it's nothing a few french fries won't cure. Literally, VERY FOOD/TREAT MOTIVATED. She likes dog friendly veggies and really prefers chicken flavor hard dog food. Beef flavored anything doesn't interest her unless it's meat for human consumption, she'll steal your food if you leave it unattended. I do love her & want her to have the best life possible but I just dont think our home is the 'right' home for her. More photos available on request. She has her own toys, crate & automatic feeder.
