About Ruth

Hello, my name is Ruth. While in the shelter, staff and volunteers described me as 'cranky', 'aloof' and 'rude'. They weren't sure if living in a home was going to result in an attitude adjustment, so what better way to find out than to hang out with a foster family? That's what I've been doing for a while now, and I'm happy to report that my foster mom would not use such unkind words to describe me. Now that I've come out of my shell a tad, I enjoy sharing space with my humans. I like to be close, but I'm not a snuggler, you know? I'm still less of a people cat, and more of a cat cat, if I'm being honest, but I do realize that hanging out with people has its perks. People like to pet my gorgeous soft fur, and honestly, I like it too. I'll reward you with gentle purrs when you pet me. I am okay with being picked up, and have relaxed my boundaries with people quite a bit since I was living in the shelter. I'm still looking for a home with low-key humans who understand my likes and dislikes, and are willing to accept me for who I am. It would be great if there was another confident cat friend in the home who could help show me the ropes in my new place, too. My adoption fee is $70, which covers all of my vetting.
