About Indigo

If you are interested in meeting or adopting INDIGO, you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION using this link- https://form.jotform.com/232395363383057 or by filling out an application on our website- aplaceofhoperescue.com INDIGO is a 2 year old, 21 pound Min Pin mix who was pulled from a kill shelter with her puppies LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Indigo is very affectionate! She wants to be loved on all the time. She will lay her head on you and lean into you for pets. She always greets her person with a wagging tail and greets them lovingly. She is very laid-back and would be perfectly happy to chill in a quiet home. Indigo is dog friendly but her people are more important to her. She would be fine as an only dog. She is not good with younger kids at all, but is fine with a teenager who regularly visits her foster home. By her reaction when she met some young kids we think she had a bad experience with them. We don't know how she would be with cats. Indigo will walk on a leash, but she's not really trained, she just follows her person. We would prefer a home with a fenced yard, but in the right home she might be ok without one. She is working on potty training and doing really well. She knows how to use a dog door and she is good in the car. At night Indigo would love to sleep in the bed with her person but she won't fight for space with the other dogs and often will sleep on her own. Snuggled close would make her happiest though! Indigo has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, wormed, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
