About Boone

Meet Boone! Boone is a Lab/Golden/Hound possible blend, that is 10 months old and weighs 65 pounds. Sadly, Boone was left abandoned after being kept in a crate for well over 12 hours up to 24 hours a day most of his life. It was a stress test that made the poor fellow a bit stir-crazy and in need of a home that is less stressful, more loving, and gives him attention. Boone is a good boy, loving with no meanness just can't be kept locked up in crates or kennels. He does have energy but it's nothing we haven't seen with labs before, just needs plenty of exercise with consistency. Anxiety sets in if you just stick him in a crate and expect him to be in it longer than several hours. He loves running around in a backyard and will require a fenced-in yard where he can sunbathe and enjoy playtime. Boone is still young, so he needs someone willing to work with him and give him the training he needs. Boone appears to be fine with other dogs or would be fine as an only dog. He is not a first-time pet owner or someone who is expecting the perfect dog, none are. Boone needs an active family that enjoys having their dog with them. Boone deserves a family that understands dogs need nurturing, love, and training to be the best they can be.
