About Juliet

Adoption Fee: $400
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Three year old Juliet was in danger of euthanasia when brought to a shelter after being hit by a car. Her ulna was fractured and she needed rescue as her needs were beyond what a shelter could provide. We rescued her and immediately took her to our vet. Her outgoing, friendly personality has won the hearts of her vets, staff and our volunteers. After several surgeries were performed in an attempt to save her leg, it was determined that a pain free life could only be achieved by amputation. She has adapted well to life as a tripod and is looking for her forever home. Foster Notes: Juliet has all the qualities of a young adult and is exceptionally curious about everything around her. She bounces up and down when she gets excited especially at mealtime but will sit and wait until you tell her it is okay to eat. She is content and calm and just relaxes in the same room with her foster parents most of the time. She loves to be touched, stroked and give kisses%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD| lots and lots of kisses%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD| She is a big ol' snuggle bug. She has no separation anxiety issues and can be trusted to be alone for hours without any incidents but she really prefers to go for the car ride with you when you leave the house. She knows all her basic commands - sit, stay, lay down, no more - and is so smart she can learn just about anything you want to teach her. Juliet will do best in a home that is one story due to her special needs. Over her lifetime she will have to stay trim and her owners will have to be creative since her ability to go for long extended walks and vigorous exercise will be difficult for her. Swimming in a pool might be a great option. Juliet will make an awesome addition to a loving home. We know there's a special person or family out there who would welcome this lovely girl into their home. Please share for Juliet and apply at labrescuers.org if you can offer her lots of love and hugs!
