About Callie an Jersey

Adoption Fee: $375 ea
Cavalier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Jersey and Callie are two very sweet 14 pound female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix pups. They are four year old bonded sisters, who are from a commercial breeder. Thank goodness for them, after birthing 2 litters, the breeder chose to send the girls to a rescue because the number of puppies in their litters were very small. The girls are up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, potty trained and have come a very long way in socialization and becoming family pets. Callie is more outgoing than Jersey. Callie enjoys being petted, will occasionally enjoy being held and loves to snoop around the house. Jersey is not tolerant of being held. She is still fearful of people getting into her space, but loves being talked to and spending time with her sister. They sleep together in a pen and are always together. A very special adopter is needed for the sweet girls. The girls have been in their current foster home since last February. They were very skittish, would not come to anyone, froze in their crate, and were very fearful. Their foster mom feels that they have made tremendous progress toward finding their forever home. The girls hate grass under their feet. They love the large deck at their foster home, where they can play and run and potty. But they do not leave the deck. Both girls are great with other pups, both big and small. They eat great and are constantly aware of where the other one is. They have been exposed to cats, and were not sure what they were. Jersey and Callie are fine around older children, but only Callie will interact with them. They love to follow their foster mom around the house, love treats, will bark when they need to potty, and do play with toys. Each enjoys rearranging the blankets in their large pen. The girls do need groomed a minimum of 3 times a year. Callie does fine at the groomer. Jersey needed to be sedated to be groomed. With hope, this will improve. A fence would be an option to consider, but they do need a deck to play and potty on. In the house, a puppy pad is available for them. They cannot be separated. They are fostered in Canton.
