About Moose

Siberian Husky / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Age: 2.5 years Breed: Husky/ Lab X Weight: 55 pounds Location: Portland, OR If you are looking for an active, friendly, confident, motivated, and easy-to-live-with dog, Moose is your guy. He adapts right away to new environments, loves to meet new people, bonds quickly, and is basically up for anything you want to do. Want to hike a mountain? Let's go! Want to run around the beach? Yes, please! Want to play tug? Here's a toy- grab hold! Want a running or biking partner? Sounds like a blast! Want to cuddle on the couch and watch TV? I'm already settled on your lap! Moose loves car rides, walks beautifully on leash, is eager to explore and learn new things, and has an excellent balance of independence, engagement, intelligence, and affable demeanor. He is excited by new people, dogs, and places, but quickly returns to his baseline level of chill. The right person (or family) for Moose will be active in the outdoors and happy to provide him with appropriate mental and physical stimulation daily. Moose is a dog who wants to be fully integrated into your family and activities. He is happy to sleep on the couch for a few hours at home alone, but he needs a person who wants a canine companion for adventures and daily life. His adopter needs to be committed to using only force-free methods to train and communicate with Moose. Moose can live with other animals, including cats, provided his humans know how to do slow and proper introductions with appropriate management. If you have another dog, a pet meeting will be required to ensure a good fit. Moose is currently being fostered by Lorenzo Fox, Lead Animal Trainer at Synergy Veterinary Behavior. Lorenzo is happy to talk with you about Moose and arrange a meet and greet.
