Melo was rescued from outside of a cemetery after he was abandoned. He was not chipped or neutered and the vet estimates him to be about 3 years old. From how soft his paws were when he was found and the amount of fur and matting on his face and body, it seemed as if he had never stepped foot in a groomer's nor did he ever walk on concrete, yet he was house trained. He is very reactive towards dogs and people in general. He is always anxious, especially around his face and when he is caught off guard and can bite in these instances. He is very good when there are only 1-2 adults in the household. We are looking for an adult-only/no pets household, ideally someone working from home as Melo does have separation anxiety. He has a good eating and walking schedule, however, there are some days he does not want to eat but he is always inclined to go outside, even if it's for a short walk. The walks do need to be timed, either early and/or late to avoid lot of interaction with other dogs. We are unfortunately having to rehome him as we are planning on starting a family.
