About Molly

*Sweet girl seeking loving forever guardian or temporary foster* ��%90� �%9D%A4��%8F ��%90%BE This January a very dear friend of mine passed away. Years ago I made a promise to him that should anything happen, I would find good loving homes for his beloved dogs, Molly and Jack. Jack quickly found a perfect new home with his owner's sweet neighbor friend. I have been searching for a perfect situation for Molly, but have not had any luck yet. Were she able to be around cats, I myself and many others who know and love her would happily take her in. Unfortunately, feline housemates are a dealbreaker. We would also be open to someone temporarily fostering her until a permanent situation can be found. Molly is about ten years old and still loves playing and going for walks. She is a pittie mix, possibly with chocolate lab, as she is a beautiful rich deep brown color. She has long skinny legs that end in cute white toes, and beautiful golden brown eyes that make you feel like the center of the universe. She is very intelligent and her dad trained her to mind extremely well. She's been a perfect angel at our home all week, even though she is extremely sad and confused. She's house trained, and lets you know when she needs to go out. She loves stuffed animals and being wrapped in a blanket for naps. Although Molly is well socialized and has enjoyed visiting our thrift shop weekly for years, she will likely never be a dog park dog. She is an alpha female, and will not tolerate challenges. She is an excellent listener, follows basic instructions well, and is easily persuaded by treats. -Her ideal new person is retired or works from home. Molly is used to 24/7 human companionship, and is very sensitive and affectionate. -A man would be fine, although she particularly loves women. -Molly cannot be around cats and ideally would be an only dog. Any other dog in the household would need to be mellow, non-antagonistic, and submissive. She has never really been around children, so would probably do best in a household without them. -Molly loves walks. Her owner wasn't able to take her this past year or so, but he would drive her out to Cougar Canyon or the Wormhole Loop to frolic. -She has a few senior dog lumps and bumps, but is generally in good health. She has all her paperwork and vet records, and is fixed and up to date on all vaccinations and city license. No bite history. -Ideally her new person would be a veteran dog owner who has experience with alpha females, with the knowledge of what situations may lead to conflict and how to avoid it. I have no knowledge of any prior major disagreements with other dogs, but better safe than sorry. -While we would (somewhat selfishly) prefer she remain here in Trinidad, Colorado we are open to the right person anywhere.
