About Maple

MEDICAL REHOMING: The first thing you should know about Maple is that, though she has her quirks, there's nothing wrong with her. I developed a rare brain disease in August of 2023 and it has taken a lot out of me. I went from being an Olympic powerlifter to being in bed most days. Meanwhile, Maple still has needs. And the most loving thing I can do is help her get those met with someone(s) who can meet them! ABOUT: Maple is a 2 year old Australian cattle dog mix. CHARM: She's extremely charismatic. Her personality is very outgoing, energetic, and sweet. Strangers love her. HEALTH: She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Maple takes medication for her mental health to help her adjust to the demands of modern life. (Sound familiar?) TRAINING: She has been in +R training since day one and only homes that continue +R training will be considered. No aversive of any kind may be used. BEST FIT: She would do well with an active guardian(s) and a yard or land. Maple loves kids, but at 50lbs, she can be a bit too much for small children, as well as frail adults. Maple doesn't get along with cats or dogs. She is enough dog for anyone, and she keeps herself entertained. She will do best in an area where she can avoid sharing spaces (sidewalks, etc.) with other dogs or cats. Maple has a modest command and trick selection: sit, down, paw, spin, shake (shake it off), wait, look at me, leave it, potty, etc. WHO IS SHE: She radiates sunshine. She is adorable. Everyone loves her ears; they take turns popping up and down when she trots. She enjoys full body hugs and deep ear massages - she lets out a sigh when you hit the right place. She's also an athlete - she likes to play with herding balls, is a world-class fetcher, and is a great goalie! CONTACT US: If you think Maple might be your forever dog, please send us an enquiry.
