About Wally

Hi, I'm Wally,a a six year old, 65 pound Standard Poodle/possible mix. I'm a very loving guy. I am currently fostered in Portland, but my people will meet you partway to anywhere reasonable: Eugene, Bend, Corvallis, Seattle, SW WA. I am house trained, I love to run, fetch a ball, and to curl up and take a nap. I love my people most of all and do want to be petted and close to them. I do not have an aggressive bone in my body, though I sometimes use my paws to ask for attention. I ride very well in the car. I get along with all four of the variety pack of dogs at my foster home. My veterinarian thinks I am a great guy: 'Wally is delightful and will make a great pet for someone with time to exercise and care for him. I would be fine with kids over 10; the smaller kids may by overwhelmed. I have been living with a boy who is now a 14, and he loves me! I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption donation is $150 An ideal home for me and my must haves include a home in a quieter location with a big fenced yard and folks around a lot. I am doing well working on walking without pulling, using a gentle leader, and I watching quietly at life passing by out the window. A great home and my must haves include: 1. An owned or stable renter home with a full size securely fenced yard. 2. Folks around a lot; I love my people but I am fine staying home alone also. 3. Folks who will give me plenty of attention and love and exercise by throwing a ball for me, or other activities. 4. I would do fine with another nice dog. 5. Folks who don't expect perfection in a rescue dog, nor instant acclimatoin to my new home. Please be willing to give me time.
