About Darri

Adoption Fee: $50
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

This is Darri. She is needing a really good PERMANENT home. She will make for an amazing and very easy support or service dog. Before I go into details about her, I will not give her up to just anyone. So please assure you can give her a good home. It's already hurting me to have to rehome her. You must be ok with being able to keep me updated on how she's doing and adjusting with pictures at least for the first short bit. We're not 100% sure but there is a possibility she could be pregnant. Darri is an INDOOR dog NOT outdoor, though she does love to spend time outside especially when it's warmer. She is a female Lab Mix. Going on 2 1/2 years old. She is currently up to date on shots but will be due for them again by around mid summer. She is not fixed. She is good and playful with other dogs but it is preffered that she is an only pet because even though she is good with other animals and loves to play she will not back down if one snaps at her first either. She is not aggressive and has never ever been aggressive towards anyone. Only towards a dog that has tried to attack her before and that's it. If you tell her the word 'Attack' she will literally hold you down with her weight and lick your face She needs a fenced in yard or someone with a good sized land where you don't have to worry about her getting out and getting hit. She does like to take off and run around when given the chance. That is one main reason I'm needing to find her another home. She is over all a very very good dog. And she is very loving and loyal. For commands she knows: Sit, lay down, roll over, shake, stay (she does best with hand gestures with the commands) and if you point next to you or in front of you and tell her 'Right Here' she will come to where your pointing and either stand or sit there. She also like to play fetch and knows what 'bring it here' means when playing. She likes to sleep in the bed with someone or at least close to. SHE CAN NOT BE CAGED OR KENNELED. She gets very down and depressed very easily if she is. She should never be caged. If ever trying to teach her new tricks, she does best with repetitive treat training. She is good with being in the house alone if you need to run out. She will usually just lay around or look out the window.
