Rip is a super friendly, smart, playful active guy. He hasn't met a dog or person that he didn't like. He's got basic training down, he is potty trained, crate trained, knows how to sit, stay, lay down, and he waits to eat his food until you tell him 'ok' or say his name. He also waits to go out the door until you say his name. His recall is pretty good, he will occasionally let his nose take him far but if you call him sternly he always comes back. We listed him as good in a home with older kids solely because of how excited he gets to see his people and play, I don't know if he would accidentally knock over a smaller child. We rescued him and hate to have to find him a new home but we live on a farm and his prey drive causes him to chase our livestock. He has also gone after our barn cats so we suggest a cat free household. He never goes after animals in an aggressive way, he's such a playful sweet guy he thinks everyone wants to run and play with him. But it's getting to the point we are scared the larger animals are going to hurt him. Other than that he is a really solid, wonderful guy. We are newly pregnant and cannot afford a trainer to help with this behavior and don't want to see him get hurt.
