About Pax First off the ideal home for pax would be someone: Has a backyard or land No kids Will work on his herding instincts with trainer or herding/agility facility Is active or has the time to keep pax active Can have other dogs (he loves 90% of dogs) Breed experience (herding dog breed) If you fit these boxes keep reading to see if pax seems like a good fit for you! Nicknames: mister, sir, Paxton, paxxy, paxter, paxadoodle Age: 3 DOB 10/23/2020 Breed: half mini half standard Australian shepherd. Blue Merle coloration. 40lbs. House trained: yes Crate trained: yes -can bark at first but calms down Car trained: yes LOVES the car rides and waiting in the car Basic commands: sit, down, bed, leave it, fetch, amazing recall and he can do a few tricks :) Good with kids: No, he nips. He can be good but is not consistent. Out in public: He loves to go everywhere you go and can hangout at a restaurant/bar/park. However if people try and pet him he barks and doesn't let them. If no one approaches him he is fine. I use a do not pet tag when out and about. Behavioral issues: he is a herding dog so he gets overstimulated and has nipping tendencies due to his herding instincts. Triggers for herding instincts: Vacuums, mops, brooms, toy cars, sometimes bikes/skateboards. He will bite at but when you say leave it and to go lay down he will listen, but if he can get away with it he will try People yelling, laughing loud, play fighting he will nip at ankles- don't recommend being around a lot of company. If lots of people are over he can go outside and he won't run away. He loves his people too much. Beeping noises makes him anxious he will bark Weary of strangers in general and will bark at them. If they try to pet him and force into his space he will nip. If a new person comes over and ignores him he does fine.
