About Lola

Per the good Samaritan who has her: 'Lola (@2yr female old tricolor walker beagle) is a sweet loyal pup. She showed up on our property and we called animal control. They took her until they had no room and put her on the uth list. We told them to call us if so and here we are. We wanted to foster her until she was capable of being broader adoptable to increase her chances. She was a hunting dog so it took us a while to break her. She's better and at a point with her behavior to be more adoptable now. She's a barker but only in certain circumstances for instance she doesn't get along with our dominant female husky so she barks at her getting attention going outside and such. She also barks at loud and big trucks too. Otherwise she can be pacing nervous sometimes but mostly when she needs to go outside. She's playful and very sweet. She just learned I think how to play with another dog lol. She's goofy and gets so excited playing she leaps clear over our couches. She's crate, house and leash/harness trained. She gets along w cats better than Bird only by circumstances we found she just sniffs and ignores them. I think she may chase to play but still not completely sure she'd hurt them not knowing what she hunted. When we had her the first time before animal control took her, she'd bark and houl at seeing our cat for hours. Now nothing. She's good with kids and other dogs but has had fighting encounters with our fixed female Shepherd Luna. Luna likes to start sh*t and likes to try dominating even our dominant male. I feel Lola just doesn't put up with it honestly. Lola gets along with everyone else just fine. She is at our home and can remain here until adopted. There isn't a rush but we don't want to delay bc we are going to have even less time for them in the next few months taking over a business.
