About Nanuke 'Nuke'

We are looking for a better fitting home for our boy, Nanuke. He loves to cuddle, protect, and go on car rides/walks. He never has accidents indoors. When we got him, the previous family said he was great with cats/kids, but I feel he would do best as an only child ;) He gets along with some submissive female dogs, and has been living with a female shihtzu mix for about 2 years. He has also done well with a couple young female poodles. He hates when dogs (or people he doesn't trust) get in his bubble while he is resting or trying to eat. We also have cats, which he has never harmed, but he barks and chases them downstairs. He is a barker, mainly when he sees people on the trail or other animals near our property. He gets nervous with unpredictable kids, I think tweens and up are okay, as long as they respect his space. He requires LOTS of brushings. He won't let me trim his nails, so the vet does it for us. Nanuke has been snippy towards people who try to 'Push him back' from the door, or off a bed, but has never drew blood. Overall he is a sweet boy and would be an AWESOME pup for someone that can be patient with him/respect his quirks, and who loves to adventure outdoors. No dietary issues, eats purina from the farm store. Healthy! Tall fence has done well with him, I would not trust him to stick around without a fence.
