About Charles

Charles has been with me and my family for a little over three years now. We picked him up from a backyard breeder in San Diego when he was about 8 weeks old. Currently unable to give Charles the best care he deserves due to a child now in the house(babysitting nephew on certain days). Unfortunately Charles does have a bite history and is reactive at times. One of the bites happened when he was suddenly awoken from his sleep. The second bite happened when a child was occupying his sleeping area. The third bite happened during a house party when a guest unfamiliar to Charles kept antagonzing him and Charles was unable to move away from the guest. Although he loves walks, he is reactive to other dogs and cats but has slowly been improving. When guests arrive at the house he becomes a bit overexcited and has the tendency to jump on guests while seeking affection. He understands basic obedience commands but can be stubborn at times. Very food driven when there are few distractions around. Loves playing tug with his toy rope and stealing dirty laundry when he doesn't get any attention. He is house broken and crate trained. We are currently compromising whenever my 1 year old nephew is at the house by putting Charles in a gated area within the house. Overall he is a goofball of a dog that would do well with an active and stern but loving owner. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them.
