About Mindi

Rabbit
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

INDOOR HOMES ONLY PLEASE Mindi was born here at the rescue on July 2, 2020. Her mommy was one of a hundred rabbits rescued from a park just two days prior to her giving birth! Whew! Glad she was rescued just in the nick of time! Mindi lived 3.5 years with her sister Cindi. Sadly, Cindi passed away in December 2023. It is quite possible that Mindi would like a new rabbit companion. Mindi gets excited for food pellets and romps back and forth with anticipation! She has been known to gnaw on the bottom of my sneakers when I sit down to play with her! If she smells a fragrant treat but does't see it, she will definitely nudge your leg, arm or hand so you will hurry up and feed it to her. Sassy and spirited. Comical and curious. Always entertaining! Mindi should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. She can have that as her home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is always open and an x-pen can be placed around it. Wire grid bottoms on cages/hutches and pull-out trays are not recommended. Towers, castles and tunnels are a preferred alternative to a cage/hutch. Please ask before you purchase supplies. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Mindi can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore. IF YOU ARE SEEKING A RABBIT AS A COMPANION FOR YOUR EXISTING RABBIT, YOUR RABBIT SHOULD BE SPAYED/NEUTERED! Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding/ BENEFITS OF ADOPTION FROM KRIBS FOR KRITTERS RABBIT RESCUE: * Lifetime free nail trims and scent gland cleaning * Unparalleled rabbit education before you adopt * Ongoing support after you adopt * Starter hay and toys * Reasonably priced boarding when you're on vacation Don't have the items you need to welcome a bunny to your home? No problem, I have low cost x-pen enclosures, litter boxes, bunny litter, hay, food pellets and toys to make new bunny ownership easier for you. Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies! Or, if you prefer to get your bunny supplies ahead of time, PLEASE consult with me before you purchase them as I can direct you to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials. Your local feed store, Tractor Supply and sometimes online retailers are a MUCH better option than a pet store.
