Meet SOPHIE! Her young life has not been good, and she could have died on the side of a road in Victorville, CA. Would it not have been for a good Samaritan who noticed 2 dogs lying on the side of a road, she would have died there or hit again by a car. This individual rushed her to a vet nearby that was open on New Year's Day as she had lifted her head while the other dog was dead already. ADR.org heard about this incident and connected with the person who found her and who we call now SOPHIE. She had a dislocated hip, bruised lungs and a concussion- but she is safe. She weighs about 45 lbs. With this posting ADR.org just wants to put the word out and tell the story of this brave girl and her savior. SOPHIE will be coming to WA and stay with ADR.org once she has fully recovered and can be transported. We hope that by Mid Feb she should be able to travel. ADR.org will keep you posted.
