About Duane

Duane is once again looking for a new home. In November, after 18 long months at the shelter Duane got adopted. This was such fantastic news, our boy had waited so long. He found a wonderful home with a great human and got to lay on the couch, roll on a carpeted floor, watch tv and even try some pizza crust! Do all those normal things that were missing for so long. His surroundings went from the chaos of a shelter to the calmness and gentleness of a home. Duane is a 7 year old pittie-mix, with some arthritis and was recovering from knee surgery when he was adopted. He has flourished in his new place and is doing so well. Jeremy, Duane's adopter says of him: 'Snuggling's his jam-resting his head on my leg (or body if super excited). Belly rubs are his top choice! Tug of war is his go-to game, especially when I get back from work'. So why is he back on this site? Jeremy has unexpectedly been called away on a project for work. Working away from home, his schedule will be unpredictable, so he took the tough decision to surrender Duane. Duane's needs are minimal. A quick walk or run around the yard for potty breaks, and a bed in front of the t.v. (he loves to watch television!). He will thank you with pitty playfulness and kisses.
