About Skylar

SKYLAR is a loving 18 month old Catahoula mix looking for her own people to love and live life together. A girl who is all about her people, pleasing her people and has good people manners. Skylar has a medium energy level, enjoys going for walks, but is also content to hang out on the couch and be chill. Wants to be inside by your side while you work. Great human companion as an only dog in your home. Can be ok with male dogs her size or larger. Housetrained. Crate trained. Sleeps through the night in her crate and would happily sleep on a dog bed in your room. Not destructive inside or outside. Food motivated and loves treats. Knows basic commands 'sit, come' and would love to learn more if taught. Walks well on leash. Rides well in the car. Squirrels and cats are fun for her to chase, so no small dogs, cats or critters in her new home. Around other dogs, she can be protective of her people, so dog parks are not recommended. Not a big barker. Doesn't mind being in her crate for a few hours, but we are looking for a home where she will not be left alone for long hours. Only homes with a fully fenced yard can be considered. Recommending older children only. Skylar is 59 lbs. spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.
