About Marvin

This cutie pie is looking for a new home. His foster family says: 'Meet Marvin(Marv)! It's Marv-ilous Marvin! He's a 'whatever' dog: he goes with the flow - not a care in the world. Want to dress him up in clothes? He says 'Sure, whatever'. Want to give him a bath? 'Ok, whatever'. Go for a drive? He'll curl up in the back seat and take a nap. This goofball loves playing with other dogs, people of all ages, and of course, a classic tennis ball. Marv is quite the cuddle bug, and rolls over - belly up - with big expectations for belly rubs. He appreciates a good snooze and is flexible with the sleeping arrangements. In the crate? On the bed? On the couch? In your lap? 'Whatever'. Beware: He is a lap dog and always willing to give up his time to keep your lap warm - you might not get much work done though, because if you stop rubbing his belly he paws at you and gives you the sad eyes. How can you refuse? Marv comes when his name is called and knows how to sit. He is very food motivated and can be taught easily. Marvin has been introduced to cats and while his big hound nose really likes the way they smell, he has shown no aggression. This sweet boy is looking for a forever family to provide him all the belly rubs he deserves. Marv is about 7 years old and 30 pounds. His meatball head and constantly wagging tail make him an irresistibly Marv-ilous companion. One lucky family will get to hear his tail thump thump thumping whenever he sees them. Maybe that family will be yours! Update: Marvin tested positive for Lyme's. He is almost done with his course of oral antibiotic which can be sent home with his new family for completion. Marvin is doing marvi-lous and currently available for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
