About Chloe

Meet Chloe, she can best described as a social butterfly who seems to warm up very quickly to all the people (including kids) and dogs that she meets. In fact, she would LOVE it if she found a forever home with an equally playful and energetic dog sibling. She has a ton of energy and loves having lots of time to play and burn it off during the day. Another playful dog would be a great mate for her, as she loves to initiate play with other dogs. She does great with kids and all people, so she could fit in a variety of family dynamics. Chloe is highly adaptable and will have a great time whether she is indoors or outdoors. However, because of her energy and playfulness, a fenced-in yard (4ft+) and opportunity for her to run around regularly...again, doing so with her new furry best friend!! She does share toys well and loves to play tug of war with her canine pals. She is crate-trained and spends some time there during the day and overnight. She sleeps well in her crate and will let you know when she's ready to come out in the morning. She has a cute little wimper voice that notifies you she is ready to go out and potty. We are working on perfecting her potty training, but as long as she is on a schedule and has opportunity to go outside, she is doing good. Chloe, at her young age, would do best in a home with someone home a good majority of the time. She has a lot of playful energy she needs to burn off, so she's looking for someone with a schedule that can best accommodate that. Chloe is extremely smart and catches on quickly. She is treat-motivated and eager to please - in her first few days with her foster family, she learned many basic commands, and has continued to demonstrate her intelligence by mastering several dog puzzles. As she is still of the puppy age, Chloe has a high degree of curiosity which can make her a bit mischievous at times. Left alone she thinks all items are presents left especially for her. She's still in the chewing stage so make sure to have size and age appropriate chewy items for her. She is easily redirected though and just needs continued reinforcement of what she can and cannot have. Chloe is the perfect addition to any family who wants the affection, loyalty, and companionship that only a dog can give. She should be fed separately from other dogs as she can be vocal (she is a Hound after all) if they get too close to her while she is enjoying a food or treat. Chloe is also not a huge fan of the car so slow intros and short rides to build her comfort and confidence is probably best. (DOB 04/07/2023) As part of Chloe's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
