About Darla

Hello there! My name is Darla. I might be one of the shelter's senior citizens at approximately 8 years old, but I'm young at heart and ready to share all the love I have to offer. I'm a lab/hound mix with a heart of gold, and I can't wait to find my forever home. Despite some arthritis & a heart murmur, I've been feeling much better lately, especially now that I have space to run and stretch my legs. Life wasn't always this great - I spent a lot of my time tied up to a box, but those days are behind me. I've found happiness here at the shelter, and I can only imagine how wonderful life will be in a real home where I can move around freely and share all my affection. I've been spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms and 4DX. I did test positive for Lyme disease, but don't worry, I've received the treatment I needed. I'm good with other dogs, cats, and kids - I'm a real people (and animal) lover! If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always up for some cuddles and playtime, I'm your girl.
