About Windi

We rescued Windi from our neighbors about 3 years ago and have had her since. She didn't get along with our other female dog at all in the beginning but this improved over time. She still tends to bully the other dog, gets along fine with our male dog. We have 2 cats and she has not been aggressive toward them, nor has she ever shown any aggression toward any human, and she has been around all ages, including young kids. We recently moved out to the country where we have a lot of outside birds, including wild turkeys and domestic chickens. Windi has recently killed 2 of our chickens, and we now feel that we can't trust her with any other animals when we are not there. She seems fine with the chickens when we are around, but when we have turned our backs for just a minute, she's off after the chickens and we simply no longer trust her with our other animals. I hate to re-home her as she is otherwise a total sweetheart and wants to please her masters; however, my husband is at his wits end and says she has to go. This breaks my heart, but I want to find her a home where she is loved and cared for and where there are no other animals and preferably no young children, as we just do not feel comfortable putting anyone at risk since she has proven to be unpredictable.
