About Mika

If you don't know about them or have never had one, don't contact me. I have had Mika since she was weaned and was born 27 March 2021. She does not have papers but is purebred. This is not an easy decision as she is part of the family, but with divorce and my job moving, I cannot give her the attention she deserves. Mika is an exceptional dog and is trained in basic obedience but since she has been between mine and a family members home, she has waivered a bit and just needs some remedial training. She has a very high prey drive so she will chase things that run but hasn't hurt them when caught. Mika is extremely protective of her inner circle and once you or another animal is accepted, she will guard. Mika does not care for small children and will nip them. She will nip/bite strangers if they make her nervous (eye contact/sudden moves/waving hands), mainly when she's working (with her people). She needs an immense amount of attention and exercise, both physically and mentally. If left alone without a job, she will take things apart and find ways to escape, methodically. She can easily jump 4 foot vertically and more with a running start. She can climb like a cat and has very little fear. Now that the scary stuff is out of the way, lets know her kinder side. When she accepts you, you can dress her, dance with her, pick her up, she doesn't care what you do as long as shes with you. She has never been hit with a hand for correction, she has always been a self shamer as in she knows when she did wrong and self punishes by going to a safe place. She hasn't had a shock collar but has had a pinch collar in public. She leash walks well and loves harnesses.
